The TRUSTFOOD project is pleased to announce its recent feature in the newsletter of the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI). This recognition underscores the project’s importance in advancing digital transformation within the Food Supply Chain through Blockchain technology.

About the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Established in 1918 and operational since 1919, the TCCI is one of Greece’s most influential economic institutions. As the second-largest Chamber in the country, it has been instrumental in shaping the development of Thessaloniki and the broader region. Its legacy includes pivotal contributions such as the establishment of the Thessaloniki International Fair, the modernization of the Thessaloniki Port Authority, and the founding of educational institutions like the University of Macedonia.

Today, the TCCI represents approximately 25,000 active members, whose businesses account for 50% of Greek exports from Thessaloniki and its surrounding areas. The Chamber continues to promote innovation and economic growth through initiatives that empower its members to adapt to evolving market and technological trends.

TRUSTFOOD and TCCI: A Collaborative Effort

Last week, DIH AgriFood Croatia had the distinct pleasure of presenting the TRUSTFOOD Project to a group of talented students at the Polytechnic of Šibenik. This event was an incredible opportunity to engage with the next generation of innovators about the transformative potential of blockchain technology in the food supply chain.

Their discussions focused on how blockchain can revolutionize the food industry by enhancing transparency, traceability, and security. As they explored the capabilities of this technology, it became clear that it paves the way for a future where consumers can trust the origins and quality of their food.
