On June 2nd, the TRUSTFOOD team from the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA OFC) visited the Second Chance School of Karditsa, introducing adult learners and educators to key concepts of food traceability, blockchain technology, and sustainability in the agri-food sector.

The visit was part of TRUSTFOOD’s ongoing efforts to engage a wide range of stakeholders — not only industry professionals and policymakers, but also everyday citizens who are eager to understand how new technologies are shaping the future of food.

This inspiring exchange emphasized the power of lifelong learning and the importance of digital inclusion. It demonstrated that innovative technologies like blockchain can be made accessible and relevant across generations, helping learners of all backgrounds connect with the challenges and solutions of today’s food systems.

The participants showed strong interest in the TRUSTFOOD initiative, particularly in how it contributes to building trust and transparency in the food chain while empowering individuals with practical knowledge and digital skills.

We sincerely thank the Second Chance School of Karditsa for their warm welcome and enthusiasm — and we look forward to more community-focused initiatives that make food innovation more inclusive and impactful.
