The TRUSTFOOD project is pleased to announce its recent feature in the newsletter of the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI). This recognition underscores the project’s importance in advancing digital transformation within the Food Supply Chain through Blockchain technology.

About the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Established in 1918 and operational since 1919, the TCCI is one of Greece’s most influential economic institutions. As the second-largest Chamber in the country, it has been instrumental in shaping the development of Thessaloniki and the broader region. Its legacy includes pivotal contributions such as the establishment of the Thessaloniki International Fair, the modernization of the Thessaloniki Port Authority, and the founding of educational institutions like the University of Macedonia.

Today, the TCCI represents approximately 25,000 active members, whose businesses account for 50% of Greek exports from Thessaloniki and its surrounding areas. The Chamber continues to promote innovation and economic growth through initiatives that empower its members to adapt to evolving market and technological trends.

TRUSTFOOD and TCCI: A Collaborative Effort

The feature in the TCCI newsletter highlights the synergies between the Chamber’s commitment to business advancement and TRUSTFOOD’s mission to provide cutting-edge training on Blockchain technology. As part of this collaboration, TRUSTFOOD and the TCCI will co-organize a webinar in the coming months. This webinar will introduce TCCI members to the fundamentals of Blockchain technology, with a focus on its applications in the Food Supply Chain.

The upcoming webinar aims to equip local businesses with the knowledge needed to adopt innovative solutions that enhance transparency, efficiency, and sustainability. This initiative reflects TRUSTFOOD’s dedication to empowering professionals and fostering a forward-thinking approach to digital challenges in the agri-food sector.

TRUSTFOOD’s inclusion in the TCCI newsletter marks an important step in fostering connections with key stakeholders and advancing the adoption of digital tools in traditional industries. We look forward to continuing this collaboration with the TCCI and supporting its members in navigating the opportunities of the digital era.
